Decision Review Request: Supplemental Claim
The review lane for adding new evidence after a decision you disagree with.

A Supplemental Claim asks the VA to look again because there is new and relevant evidence: records the VA did not consider before that bear on the decision.
"New" means the VA has not seen it; "relevant" means it tends to prove or disprove something in the claim. This is the only one of the three review lanes built around adding evidence.
Worth knowing
- A Supplemental Claim can be filed any time, but filing within one year of the decision protects the original effective date under the continuous-pursuit rules.
- The other two review lanes are Higher-Level Review (20-0996) and a Board Appeal (10182).
